Whether you're marking dovetails, taking off an angle from an antique, or transferring an angle from a plan, you want a bevel gauge that adjusts easily, locks firmly and won’t move again until you want it to. Woodpeckers Sliding Bevel Gauges feature a unique locking mechanism that delivers precisely adjustable drag and positive locking from the end of the tool. The locking knob fits naturally between your thumb and finger and provides positive feedback for tension adjustment. Internally, a wedge multiplies your effort, exerting firm gripping pressure on the blade with only moderate finger pressure.
Easy to Use and Adds Some "Flash" to your Workbench
That clever mechanism inside requires an insert panel, which gave our product designer an opportunity to have some fun. He jeweled the stainless steel inserts with engine-turning, creating a nostalgic look that brings to mind classic car dashboards and Charles Lindbergh's Spirit of St. Louis
Two sizes with the same fundamental design as the 4", the 7" model handles larger furniture projects. Both feature satin-finish stainless steel blades, all stainless steel hardware, jeweled stainless steel inserts and a "Woodpecker's Red" aluminum body.
Woodpeckers Bevel Block complements the Sliding Bevel Gauges perfectly. It gives you a physical reference for the 5 most common miter angles and the 3 most common dovetail angles. By referencing different sides of the Bevel Block, you have the primary angle, its complement (90° - angle) and its supplement (180° - angle).
