Functions
Our most versatile router
The OF 1400 Router provides 1400 watts of power in a machine that weighs less than 10 lbs. It accepts 1/2", 1/4" or 8 mm bits. With enough power to handle most routing tasks and small enough to be extremely maneuverable, the OF 1400 is the one router every tradesperson should own. With a category-leading 2 3/4" plunge depth, precise to 1/256" (1/10 mm), this router gives you the power, precision, depth of cut, and dust extraction capabilities that will simplify your routing tasks.
This is the new imperial version of this tool. It is identical to the previous version with the exception of the units on the depth scale.*OF Routers produced after 2021 are NOT compatible with the Router Table CMS and all variations.
- Ergonomic handle with full-grip is designed for increased control and reduced fatigue with power switch and speed control at the fingertips.
- The OF 1400 EQ Router provides a smooth 2-3/4" plunge action on precision ground rods and a double column clamp with a quick and secure plunge lock.
- Micro-adjustable depth control to 1/256" (1/10 mm) with ball detents which allows you to dial in your routing with tremendous precision.
- MMC electronic controls provide constant speed under load for improved cut quality, step-less variable speed, and overload and thermal protection.
Product Details
-
Power
With 1400 watts and MMC electronic controls, the OF 1400 is a mid-sized router with enough power to tackle even your largest projects.
-
Ratcheting Spindle
One wrench bit changes with ratcheting action for faster and easier bit changes.
-
Double Column Clamping
One knob locks the plunge depth securely, for less motor to plate deflection.
-
Dust extraction
Integrated dust extraction port extracts dust from the point of generation, increasing visibility and saving valuable clean-up time. The port is angled so that the hose stays in line with the power cord.
-
Precision depth adjustment
Micro-adjustability to 1/256" (1/10 mm) with detents for each 1/10 mm.
-
Swiveling chip deflector
Included chip deflector can be used with edge forming bits, maximizing chip and dust extraction even around curves and corners.
-
Tool-Less Inserts
Template guide bushings are self-centering and can be inserted tool-free. The swiveling chip deflector can also be attached and removed without tools.
-
2-3/4" Plunge Depth
Enhanced depth is especially useful when routing on top of a template.
-
System integration
Designed for use with the FS guide rail system for guided cutting, VS 600 Dovetail jig for joinery applications, LR32 hole drilling system, MFS multirouting templates, and a wide range of other accessory options.
-
Depth Stop Turret
Three adjustable position depth stop turret for repeatable and consistent step cutting.
-
Quad Center Line Marks
As with all Festool routers, the OF 1400 EQ has a center line indention on each side of the base. This visual reference point allows you to align the center of the bit with the cut line. No more guessing where the center of the bit falls on your workpiece.
-
MMC Electronics
Electronic controls provide constant speed under load for improved cut quality, step-less variable speed for different applications, and overload protection for longer life.
