• Overview
  ThickSet lets you pour layers of resin deeper than the ⅛” typical of most epoxies. Tackling a large project like bars and countertops, river tables or slabs? Pour up to ½” per layer and enjoy longer working time at room temperature. Small castings using less than 16 oz mixed epoxy may be applied in layers up to 1” thick, perfect for figurines, jewelry, and other unique creations.

  Fewer layers means less chance of ‘banding’ (ie visible layers). Enjoy the natural high-gloss clear finish or tint mica powder and other epoxy colorants. Simple 3:1 resin to hardener ratio (by volume) makes ThickSet easy to use, whether you’re a beginner or a pro. Low VOC, low odor formula suitable for indoor applications.

  Specifications:

  • Compatible with wood, metal, stone, ceramic, and concrete materials
  • Easy 3:1 mix ratio by volume (3 parts Part A Resin to 1 part Part B Hardener)
  • Long working time suited for large projects
  • Cures clear, hard, waterproof, and durable
  • Note: Apply a skim coat of epoxy first on porous surfaces like wood and let cure first
  • Pot Life: 10-15 min at 77 F
  • Working Time: 45-60 min at 77 F
  • Gel Time: 5.5 hours at 77 F
  • Yield: 1.5 sq ft at 1” thick per gallon of mixed resin and hardener
  • Note: not intended for prolonged sunlight / UV exposure.
  • Note: cure epoxy heat limit: 125 F. Do not place hot items on cured surface.
