The PantoRouter™ comes with a full set of Standard Guide Bearings including 6mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm and 22mm diameters. These sizes are all that are needed to use our standard templates to make mortise and tenon, box joints and dovetails.
The collars are backward compatible to all previous models. We even include a spare set screw in case one escapes to go hide under your bench.
The Monster Guide Bearings are used to make ¾” and 1” M&T using your own bits for the mortise. The ½” spiral upcut bit works with our M&T templates and these guide bearings to make the tenons.
Tenons are perfectly fit to the mortise by running the guide bearing around a specific point on the tapered template, and finding the sweet spot is not difficult. Our guide bearing collars make it even easier to replicate the fit the next time you use the same guide bearing and bit combination.
Please go to the How-To Guide page to download a Mortise and Tenon How-To Guide. This guide will show how all of these different guide bearings are used.
