  The TSBC-10R3 Standard Brake Cartridge is the heart of SawStop’s award-winning safety system. In the event of skin contact, the cartridge activates a spring-loaded aluminum brake that halts the blade in under 5 milliseconds—minimizing the chance of catastrophic injury. Ideal for professional woodshops, hobbyists, and educational settings, this cartridge is a vital component of your SawStop safety ecosystem.

  Compatible with Saw Type(s): ICS, PCS, CNS, JSS and CTS Model Saws ONLY.

  Key Features:

  • Advanced Blade-Brake Technology
    Detects skin contact and stops the spinning blade instantly, while also dropping it below the table surface to reduce further risk.
  • For 10" Standard Blades Only
    Designed for use with all standard 10" blades in compatible SawStop saws.
  • Replaces TSBC-10R2
    Fully backward-compatible with systems previously using TSBC-10R2.
  • Easy to Install and Remove
    Includes a locking key that allows quick swapping between standard and dado brake cartridges.
  • Compatible with Wood and Non-Conductive Materials
    Safe for use with hardwood, softwood, plywood, MDF, and more.
  • Debris Shield
    The mylar debris shield insulates the aluminum brake from metal particles. It helps avoid triggering an activation when cutting through nails, staples or screws.
  • Heavy Duty Spring
    As soon as that microprocessor senses the drop in voltage, it sends a surge of electricity through a fuse wire that holds the spring in place. The heavy-duty spring is held under 150 pounds of pressure, and it pushes the aluminum block into the path of the blade stopping it within 5 milliseconds.

  Not Compatible With:

  • CB Model SawStop saws (use TSBC-10L instead)
  • Dado blade setups (use the Dado Brake Cartridge)
