Just about every square Woodpeckers builds has a shoulder to reference against the edge of your stock…and that’s a good thing. But, from time to time you need a square that sits dead flat, and here’s the perfect solution; Woodpeckers Precision Triangles. Just like our Precision Woodworking Squares, these triangles are CNC-machined from cast and ground tool plate aluminum, the most stable aluminum on the market. They’re held to the same exacting tolerances, too (±.0085°). But with no shoulder, the Precision Triangles lie flat in the bottom of boxes and cabinets to check square, or flat on your table saw to set your miter gauge perfectly. We build these little gems in two sizes, 4" and 6".
Laser-engraved scales run along the perpendicular edges, letting you measure in two directions from the same zero point. The scales are graduated in sixteenths, with primary divisions engraved on the scale for easy reference.
The two sizes are available individually or as a set. If you buy the set, the triangles nest together with three brass knobs. When they’re fastened together, the combined tool has a nice heft. If you’re working in close quarters, you can quickly separate them and work with just the one you need.
The set also includes a wall-mountable MDF case to keep your Precision Triangles safe, but always in plain sight and ready for work.
