When you add a 16" x 23" work surface, a pair of Knuckle Clamps, a calibrated fence, and six Stainless Steel Flip Stops to your ordinary drill press, you will turn it into a true woodworking machine. These features combine in our newest Drill Press Table Package to improve the accuracy and efficiency of all your drilling work.
(Includes 36" Fence, (6) Stainless Steel Flip Stops, (2) Knuckle Clamps, (1) Filler)It all starts with the unique Micro-Dot laminate surface bonded to both sides of a stable MDF core. The Micro-Dot surface reduces surface tension between your workpiece and the table, making stock slide effortlessly. The edges of the table are protected with a durable, high-density banding permanently bonded to the MDF core.
We embed two sections of our Dual-Purpose T-Track to create the attachment point for the fence. The track is anodized for wear resistance and laser engraved with measurement scales. The tracks bolt to the table from below, eliminating any chance of pull-out.
The fence is the same Dual-Purpose T-Track with a bracket that slides in the embedded track. The fence brackets slide smoothly and lock securely...without any tools. Not only does the fence give you a guide for repeat positioning from the edge your stock, it carries the stops which provide accurate repeat position laterally. The 36" long fence is engraved with zero in the middle. Just tweak that into position directly behind the drill bit and you can instantly drill a hole in the center of anything or do mirror image layouts on the fly.
Your Drill Press Table includes one tear-out-eliminating filler block. Underneath the filler are leveling screws to adjust the block flush with the surrounding table. When it’s too full of holes to do its job, it's easy to replace with any 1/2" material. If you want to be ready to drop in a replacement whenever you need, we offer them pre-cut.
The knuckle clamps adjust to a wide range of stock thickness and shape. They slide into either slot on the embedded tracks or the fence. As you can tell, this all comes together as a versatile system that puts your stock where you want it and makes sure it stays there through the drilling operation.
