Founded in 2007 by Tim Owens, a former GM Engineer, Next Wave CNC began its journey when Owens built his first CNC machine in his garage, which he promptly sold on eBay.

This initial success marked the beginning of what would become a lifelong career path for him. The CNC machines, aptly named the SHARK, quickly gained a great reputation among both professionals and hobbyists in the burgeoning industry. Recognizing the need for expansion, the next evolutionary step for Owens was to consolidate all operations and products under one roof, leading to the establishment of the dynamic company now known as Next Wave CNC.
