3D Setup Blocks
Improve your machinery setup with 7 precision-machined blocks for common joinery dimensions.
Strongsville, OH – Northeast Ohio tool manufacturer, Woodpeckers, recently announced its new 3D Setup Blocks. Each block is precision-machined to give you common fractional references in 4 different ways. The thickness of each block is milled precisely to its stated dimension. The center cutout is the same dimension and makes setting blade and bit height accurate and simple. Above the center cut-out, you’ll find a raised “hump” to check the depth of dadoes, grooves, and pockets. At one end, a stepped shoulder can be used to set fence positions or depth settings. As a bonus, the other end of each block features a bevel angle for setting commonly used angles at the table saw and miter saw. The set of 7 blocks includes 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16 " and 1/2" blocks and comes with a Rack-It to store them when not in use.
There are countless ways to use setup blocks in your shop. Whether gauging material thickness, checking joinery depths, or setting up equipment, Woodpeckers 3D Setup Blocks add a new dimension of versatility. Unlike similar setup blocks that have radius corners, the 3D Setup Blocks feature a relief cut at inside corners that won’t conflict with square joinery. And with the entire block milled to the stated thickness, the stepped shoulder forms a perfect square. There’s no confusion over which is the “right” way to use it. The bevels on each block are milled on state-of-the-art CNC milling machines and inspected to Woodpeckers strict tolerance. The set includes angles of 90°, 85°, 80°, 70°, 60°, 45° and 30°.
