Turn your palm sander into a versatile stationary sander in seconds with Woodpeckers SandStand Tilting Sander Base. When the workpiece is relatively small, it's easier and safer to hold onto the work instead of holding onto the sander. But stationary belt and disc sanders take up lots of shop space, are a sizable investment and can be overly aggressive and intimidating to use on a small workpiece. SandStand secures almost any round-bodied palm sander in a tilting base you can mount to any workbench. You can even mount it on a wall if you need to. Now you have both hands to control the workpiece as you guide it over your sander. Adjust the angle of the base to hold the sander at the most comfortable position for the job at hand…anywhere between horizontal and vertical.
SandStand works with any sander that has a round section of its body that measures between 2" and 3-5/8" in diameter. Just find the location on your sander where the clamping bar fits best and leaves the controls accessible. SandStand’s flanges have cut-outs to bolt it down or you can just clamp it to your workbench. Once you have the sander mounted and the SandStand secured, adjust the angle where you want it and start sanding!
You can easily add a table to your new “mini disc sander.” Just make a simple 4-sided box and clamp it in front of your SandStand mounted sander. Now you can sand contoured and straight edges and keep them dead square to the face.
We designed SandStand to work with just about any sander out there… new, old, fancy or plain… if it has a round or “roundish” body it most likely will work with SandStand. The powder-coated steel frame holds your sander solidly and stands up to rugged use.
Like all Woodpeckers tools, the SandStand is precisely machined and carefully inspected in our Strongsville, Ohio factory (just south of Cleveland).
