    Insert spoilboard surfacing & rabbeting with scorers features unique 2+2 knife design that contains two cutting flutes and two up-shear scorers, which provide a smoother finish at the bottom of the cut than traditional two-knife style router bits. Engineered with an Amana-exclusive carbide grade for the highest quality of cut, maximum cutting efficiency, and faster material removal process.     • 2 + 2 spoilboards contain 2 bottom scorers for better performance, finer surface finish and better clearance for 90° corners

    These industrial router bits comes complete with four (4) MDF-Grade solid carbide insert knives, each with four (4) cutting edges that allow users to rotate the knife when one side becomes dull. Designed for spoilboarding, planing & rabbeting large surface areas in the following materials:

    • Plastic/Acrylic**
    • Solidwood/Softwood*

    *For optimal results and maximum insert life, replace inserts with optional general purpose knives #AMA-12 and #RCK-70 (sold separately).

    **Use lower CNC spindle RPM and adjusted feed-rate to prevent Melting and adhesion of the acrylic material to the tool.

    RC-2251 and RC-2253: Also suitable for router sled machines, Make sure that your router sled is fully stable and squared.

    The RC-2252 industrial router bit used in conjunction with the Amana Tool® Straight Plunge 45200 to square out the corners make production of MDF Shaker-style doors economical and less labor-intensive, while producing superior results.

    Recommendations: For surfacing solid woods it is recommended to remove both bottom scorers.
